Overview of NRA Basic & Instructor Classes

Since 1871, a major objective of the National Rifle Association of America has been the training of people of good repute in

the safe handling and proper use of firearms.  Today, as the nation's premier firearm training organization, the NRA continues

to introduce thousands of individuals annually to the basics of safe, enjoyable shooting through the NRA Basic Firearm

  Training Program.

The NRA's tradition of shooting education is over 137 years old, but the training methodologies used in NRA courses are

regularly updated to reflect the latest instructional techniques and ensure the presentation of educationally sound, quality

firearm training that is simple, effective, and enjoyable.  The administrative policies governing the conduct of NRA training

courses are also periodically revised to help maintain the program's nationally recognized training standards, as well as to

ensure that NRA firearm training is available to every law-abiding individual who wishes to receive it.

NRA courses are not available to any individual who has been convicted of a crime of violence, or who is prohibited by federal,

state, or local law from possessing firearms.

No live ammunition is to be brought into the classroom.  Some classes do not allow firearms to be brought into our classroom.

Please see the specific class you are interested in for complete details.

For those classes that require shooting, you may bring your own firearm and ammunition, or you may use ours for an

  additional fee.

While you will see classes set up in the calendar, our schedule is flexible.  Please contact us if you have a specific date in

mind and a different class is listed.  We will try to work with your schedule.

Family, Group, and Multi-Class Discounts are available.  Gift certificates are available.

Notice from the NRA:  NRA cannot provide any assistance in training foreign persons due to conflicting information       from the U.S. Government regarding regulations pertinent to foreign persons and arms training.  NRA cannot process   any requests for assistance in training foreign persons.  In view of the above, we regret to inform you that NRA               cannot renew NRA firearm trainer credentials for any foreign national.

Please choose either the Basic or Instructor Class button to see individual classes.
